My new WR draft crush: Jordon Matthews

I heard him interviewed on Sirius NFL Network. He's the real deal character-wise. Graduated in 3.5 years from Vanderbilt. I think he will be a workout and film study warrior ala Russel Wilson at the NFL level. Had the skills and numbers to back up a 1-2 round pick. I love this guy and he's one of those draft-picks that I'll be pulling for to do well even if my team doesn't take him. I have stated that if I'm a GM, I wouldn't consider drafting a WR in the first or second round unless it was a sure-fire bet. That being said, I would absolutely love Jordon Matthews to fall to us in the second round and would take him in a heartbeat. Moreso than Bryant, Coleman, OBJ, ect. now after the combine results.

I read it and mostly agree with you except Adams is 6'1 you downgraded him to 6 feet even.

Adams is 6007.

So if you want to generously round that up, feel free. But he's in between 6-0 and 6-1.

You do realize the difference between 7/8th's and 8/8 of an inch don't you.

There are 12 inches in a foot.

6007 means 6 feet and 7 inches.

He is 5 inches away from 6-1.

He is not 1/8th of an inch from 6-1.

If he was 5 inches away from 6-1, he would be 5-8.

I wish he was 6ft 7inches and that athletic though.

My mistake -- not sure what I was writing there.

But either way, he isn't 1/8th away from 6-1.

Haha Rob, you're getting tongue tied.

The height goes feet, inches, 8ths of an inch. 6007 mean 6 foot, 00 and 7/8ths inches.

I prefer to remain strictly official. That's how guys like Martavius Bryant end up 6'5".

He's 6 foot zero and change. Is it splitting hairs? Sure. But it's also more accurate. I prefer to not round these things up. Once he's 6'1", now he's being compared equally to other 6'1" and change players. Because it's human nature to make positive comparisons to embellish one's personal bias. Once you say he's 6'1", now he's equal to a 6017 guy. Because we'll selectively apply rounded numbers unequally. I prefer to hold measurements in an unbiased/dispassionate manner and let others draw their own conclusions.

Actually, I think he is. I believe that last digit is on a scale of eigths. Sammy Watkins measured in at 6006, which corresponds to all the combine news saying he measured in at 6ft 3/4.

Sorry, looks like Attyla got there first.
