According to PFF, we have yet to play a game with all cylinders firing, closest being Giants and Eagles games. Even in those two games, our pass blocking sucked. The team needs to come together in the next three games, but our defense front seven may have tired legs as those guys played a lot of snaps? I think our pass blocking may improve some now that Lucas is slowly getting back to his old self.

Outside of injuries, it's the most maddening element of the 2023 season. Consistency between all three phases.

I just accept it as...the team is inconsistent. When we're asking for all 3 phases of the game to be firing...we're asking the team to be inconsistent to what it actually is....a team that is inconsistent. lol. Perhaps the inconsistent part of the team is when it is firing on offense or defense or special teams. If your team has had horrible defense for 8/10 games or offense for 8/10 games. The 2/10 games of effective offense/defense is the inconsistent part not what they are.

As others mentioned that's the difference between the Eagles and the Hawks in expectations. Eagles losses are considered their inconsistency and slide, they looked good for the majority of the games they played.

It would be nice to switch gears from our standard mode of inconsistencies into a more automatic form of efficiency and effectiveness. Then maybe we could just cruise right into the playoffs 🤔 😏

Our pass blocking has been consistent, as consistently bad.
Our run defense has been inconsistent, as it went from bad to good to bad again.
Our tacking has been consistent, as consistently bad, as least most of the time bad.
Our receiving has been consist, good, top rated.
Our passrush has been consist, good enough for a team with no dominant star pass rushers.

I am on the train where unless you have a key player or two coming back from injury, your team by game 12-14 is what it is.
I totally disagree... people don't think injury is an issue but it absolutely is. Vs the Eagles, this is the first game that the Hawks starters have played the entire game if you even count Bradford as a starter which really phil Haynes is the starter he is getting ready to come off of IR.

To be a good O line they have to work together to pick up complicated stunts and blitzes you don't get good at that until you play together... same with run blocking. So the continuity of an O line is crucial to its success

Barring any major injuries you ARE going to see this O line play much better in these next 3 games priming up to a play off run.

I agree with above. It’s no coincidence we look better now that Lucas is back.

Agreed. World beaters one week and chumps the next in all three phases. For sure.

You have all cylinders available before they can all be firing

Three of our biggest problems:
  1. OL
Cross has played at league average or slightly above average in the last few games,
Lucas was slightly better than league average last season,
Lewis was above league average in 2022 and 2020.
Our right guard and Center could use some improvements.
  2. Tackling
We have been bad for the past few seasons. That said, in this season, we have 5 league average games, 4 below average, 5 very bad games.
  3. Run defense
We are inconsistent, in 14 games played, we had 5 very good run defense games, 6 very bad games, and 3 below average.
