What about draft and trade?

Can anyone see a scenario where some great player, a player of a position we don't have need for, falls to us, and we take him with the intention of trading with a team for someone we do need?

IDK if that makes any sense, just wondering if that ever happens, not hoping it does.

Seen it in the NBA, Scottie Pippen, drafted by the SuperSonics and immediately traded, but no recall of that happening at draft time in the NFL. Anyone else?

This has a lot more to do with the NBA's trade rules, deadlines, approval etc. Draft and trade is a consequence of these rules. Doesn't need to happen in the NFL as the trade is approved immediately at the time.
