Well, we are already a playoff caliber team. One could argue that the wrong pick could damage that more than an 'average' pick would help it.
;)

Pete is adamant about playing young players, which sometimes means doing a lot of damage to the team if that player is terrible. See: Justin Britt and Drew Nowak.

Jaylon Smith in the 3rd. Max Tuerk, Cravens, Xavien Howard, or Nick Martin.

OG McGovern would be my Day 2 Winner.

My hope also that Justin Britt learns to be a better guard and our run game carries us through a relatively easy 1st part of the season.

In addition to some of the above names, I'd be totally cool if they went Braxton Miller too.

That extra 3, and getting a 1st round OL allows one of these 4 day 2 picks to be "house money", if you will.

But yeah - Billings, Bullard, Jones, A'Shawn, Spence,Kaufusi Frackell, Cravens, Green, Davis, Simmons, Martin, McGovern, Dahl, Westerman...

Billings.

I've also changed my tune on Tyler Irvin. Hed be a pretty exciting addition.

I love him. But trying to think of reasons not to like him. Other than drafting him too early, what would be the issue?

As a third down back or kick returner in the mold of Leon Washington.

I would literally orgasm myself to (near) death if this happened.

Nah, Sac needs the work. Tough times out there.

His pass protection is atrocious. As a 3rd down back I don't love the idea of needing him to stay in and protecting, but I've sort of adjusted my feelings to match the Seahawks who look at what the individual can do, not what he can't do and the things Irvin can do when the ball is in his hands is damn exciting.

I wouldn't want him drafted before the 3rd round, but Tyler Ervin would be a lot of fun.
