I would take Dissly over Graham ... they each have parts of there game where they better than the other dude. In this day in age to have a no doubt 6th lineman that can catch is a find ... especially for the way Pete wants to play .. that whole circle of toughness deal.

Graham is a good dude and I wish him well but he lacked that junk yard dog gene... that mild manor Uncle Will seems to have.

I will take Dissly for his physicality, blocking, hands, he didn't have a fast straight line forty but his quickness and change of direction testing were legit and it makes since he test well in those areas considering how he gets open.

A big factor that shows some of the dog in him is his ability to catch the ball and hold on when taking a hit.. something Graham was not spectacular at.

Will Dissly is a good find .. especially in this offense on this team and in this day and age... John said that have been looking for a true Y tight end since they got here.

Dissly is perfect complement to Lockett and Metcalf. I am really liking our new big tree receivers, with Carson and Russ, these WRs get one on one often, and in time, they will be hard to defend. I think of the three Will might have the best hands, DK the fastest, and Lockett the smartest. And all three seems to enjoy good relationship with Russ.

Love what John Schnieder said about him after watching a Huskies practice, "you can't even hear the ball hitting his hands."

Love me some Uncle Dissly!

Dissly is a really just a year two rookie, since in injury happened so early last season. He's a legit weapon though.

He reminds me a Raider great Dave Casper. He can catch the ball in any contorted position and effectively run after the catch , breaking tackles , and little Lamb hearts. He seems to be in sync with Russ. Now we have two tight ends that can do it all with Luke back in the fold. It's gonna be a fun year!!

Dissly is a Miller clone. Versatile, good hands, 5.0 40 but savvy enough to find openings. Oh, and he can block.

Schotty is definitely better at using TEs. And Russ trusts Dissly like he does Lockett.

this is the truth. Dissly is Miller 2.0, a much better comp. the gold standard of TE's for Seattle in the PC era. But Dissly is a better weapon in the passing game.

Jimmy at his prime was a better offensive weapon than the current Uncle Will; but Dissly hasn’t reach his prime yet. However, even at Jimmy’s prime his blocking was inferior to the current Dissly.

I would take Dis over Graham for this offense every day. He also seems better at the scramble drill than Graham.

Miller was a better blocker, Dissly is a better receiver (needs to cut down on the blocking penalties)

Both are super reliable and show up in big moments

Miller was in like his 5th season when he got the Hawks, Dissly is in year two.. He will continue to improve his technique in his blocking. Dissly has the making of an all-time great Seahawks TE.. Not that the bar is that high. Since joining the NFC the Seahawks haven't had a truly elite TE.

Don’t recall the AFC Seahawks having elite TEs either.

Dissly is a real TE. Graham was an oversized WR.

:Dunno:
Yet we still didn't use him like an elite WR, which he absolutely was/is. I'm glad we're using Dissly effectively, a good part of which is due to the fact that he's been great at blocking and he's on the field for more snaps because of it; but still. It was painful watching us just piss away Graham's talent.

Define Elite, Fauria, Tice and Young were all Seattle TE's.

If you want a WR in a TE's body then no.

Dissly is a night and day better blocker than Miller was in early stages. Miller was known as a receiving TE early on with the Raiders. He became much better as a blocker when he came to the Hawks, but even then that didn't happen overnight.

We will see but an argument can be made today he is a better offensive weapon as well.

In 3 seasons Graham "the huge red zone threat" averaged 6 TD's per season. Dissly has 4 after 5 games and is on pace to put up 12+ his first full season.

Also he just has the toughness and mentality this team needs unlike "I'm Jimmy" ever had.

Completely agree.

Not sure of the turnover of behind the scenes trainers but how much MORE impact do you think they had in his recovery from injury having had previous experience helping out Graham recover so fast, as it was stated some players don't even come back let alone as fast as those two did/have.
