A 38-7 road win over a Teddy Bridgewater led Vikings team
How is the Minnesota game a "Mediocre" win? The defense blanked them (only scored on STs) and the Seahawks offense dropped dimes all day
All against a wildcard playoff team.
I said a bunch of mediocre to average wins and the Minnesota game was no doubt a quality road win... when I said "win over a Teddy Bridgewater led team" that was my way of saying they are average.
I think everyone would agree the 8-3 Vikings were nowhere near as good as their record.
To sum it up...
I see the losses to the upper tier (according to record) opponents (Packers, Bengals, Panthers, Cardinals with a loss to the Rams thrown in)
wins over the average opponents (Minnesota Pittsburgh with the Steelers being the much better of the two)
The remaining wins over teams that can be considered mediocre... (Chicago, Detroit, SF, Dallas, SF, Baltimore although it's not the Ravens fault they have been destroyed by injuries)
So yeah... if Seattle was coming off a 3 game run having blown out the Panthers, Bengals, Packers... whoever... then I'd most definitely agree with everything I'm reading about how the rest of the NFC better look out for Seattle.
Unfortunately though I just don't see what all the hype is about. Seattle is playing much better there is no doubt about that but they are still 8-5 looking at 3 road games.
People can say Carolina is 13-0 because of a weak schedule... but haven't they won all their games? Seattle had a tough first half schedule... and lost every game that featured a tough opponent.
No doubt we will continue to hear more about the Seattle NFC 3peat as the media will continue to pile on the Seattle bandwagon in the coming weeks after what should be wins over Cleveland and St. Louis (although I am looking forward to seeing Gurley in action in Seattle... he's a beast),,,
Is anyone else ready for the playoffs?
