Eh, I've kept my mouth shut because I don't really know enough to have a good opinion on the guy, but there's been little things that have led me to believe that Taggart is a lot like Sarkisian...hell even taking this job makes him more like Sark.
He can recruit, but how is his player development? Can he beat top-ranked coaches? Talent alone rarely does anything worthwhile in CFB without a good plan and execution for player development and game preparation. Taggart was unproven. And while I only watched their game vs the Huskies closely, I will say that I saw a team with bad body language out there (in fairness, Burmeister was QB).
The worst part is not the potential destruction of this year's recruiting class, but rather the lack of available head coaches. There aren't exactly a bunch of proven head coaches looking to move up to an FBS or Power-5 school.
I do feel bad for J, though....almost didn't make this thread because of him. But oh well, he talks shit too.
