  • AKA Rose Bowl East.

USC wins if they can force J.T. Barrett to stay in the pocket and try to beat them with his arm.

  • Well, that's not a good start for the Trojans.

  • Weird no-calls by the referees. Targeting helmet shot to the head on Burnett went uncalled. And then at least two PIs by Ohio State.

USC RB Ronald Jones also screwed up on that drive. He should cut and go, instead he went outside and lost yards.

    Darnold looks good so far.

  • USC is down by 7, and Ohio State has the ball. Yet, I feel like USC has outplayed them and just taken some bad breaks. We'll see.

  • I don't like USC's defensive scheme. They sell out at the line of scrimmage and vacate a lot of area in the middle of the field. This leaves them vulnerable to intermediate range passes and runs that gets through the LOS. They're rambling and gambling.

  • Sam Darnold didn’t sit this one out (as many of his draft eligible peers have) but maybe he should have.

  • Difference in coaching and schemes was striking.

Half the time the USC players didn't act like they knew where they were or what they were supposed to be doing.

It boggles my mind that a team with access to that much talent really can't put it together.

Thank God Peterson didn't go to USC.

  • Pac-12 is now 1-7 in bowl games with one game to go. It's going to be a tough one.

UW vs. Penn State, Dec. 30, 1 p.m. PST (ESPN)
