Brings back memories of a former college safety who made the conversion to the right corner back position. He had his lessons to learn in his first couple years. But, his play blossomed as he accumulated snaps.

In his 11 years playing for the Seahawks, Dave Brown established, and continues to hold, franchise records for interceptions (50), interception return yards (643), and interceptions returned for touchdowns (5). In 1992, Brown became the third player inducted into the Seattle Seahawks' "Ring of Honor".

I believe in Flowers. I see a good football player. Sherman is considered one of the best am he was humbled in the Super Bowl. Flowers can tackle and hold his own. I don't know what the analytics say but I'd put him top 32 CB's.

I think his 3rd year will be his best, just look at the jump Shaq made.

Tre actually improved across the board in all stats, some of his plays might not be easy on eyes but he is quietly improving. All following data from pro football references. I am comparing Tre '18 vs '19, and his '19 vs Shaq, Sherm and Stephon Gilmore.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/ ... ed_defense

Int:
Tre '18 : 0
Tre '19 : 3
Shaq '19 : 0
Sherm '19 : 3
Gilmore '18 : 2
Gilmore '19 : 6

A big jump from nil to 3, matching Sherm's .

Tgt - Cmp - Cmp% - Yds - Yds/Cmp - Yds/Tgt - TD
Tre '18 : 90 - 57 - 63.3% - 805 - 14.1 - 8.9 - 4
Tre '19 : 101 - 61 - 60.4% - 708 - 11.6 - 7.0 - 1
Shaq '19 : 77 - 44 - 57.1% - 559 - 12.7 - 7.3 - 4
Sherm '19 : 69 - 43 - 62.3% - 387 - 9.0 - 5.6 - 1
Gilmore '18 : 95 - 46 - 48.4% - 518 - 11.3 - 5.5 - 5
Gilmore '19 : 101 - 51 - 50.5% - 599 - 11.7 - 5.9 - 0

Comparing a 2nd year convert CB to an aging Sherm, obviously teams picked on Tre more, he was targeted 101 times vs Sherm's 69, but Tre's Completion % was 60.4% vs Sherm's 62.3%! Our young Tre allowed more yards per completion 11.6 yards to Sherm's 9 yards. Tre's yards per target wasn't too bad, 7 yards/target vs Sherm's 5.6 yards. Both yielded 1 TD. Comparing to Gilmore, Tre needed to improve on his completion rate, but their yards/comp is almost identical.

Pass rating allowed
Tre '18 : 106.9
Tre '19 : 72.5
Shaq '19 : 97.3
Sherm '19 : 64.1
Gilmore '18 : 73.9
Gilmore '19 : 44.1

One could argued that limiting QB to 72.5 wasn't too bad at all, if not at Sherm's 64.1.
