I don't think there are NFL games this year.
I think that the south and midwest have massive spikes of infection rates because of loosening restrictions, and that it's impossible for teams to travel and play one another.
The prediction above may seem pessimistic, but as an optimist, I also predict normalcy for the 2021 season, however.
I worry very very much that if they try to play games, that they'll end up with a couple of teams with multiple infected players, and that'll really screw those teams semi permanently as well as of course being super dangerous to everyone connected to those teams... and because of this belief, I hope the season is cancelled up front when it becomes clear there is no safe way to do this.
(The tests aren't accurate enough and people can likely pass it before they test positive; simply quarantining people when they test positive or have symptoms is not going to control this thing in an environment like playing football, a contact sport, where often 15-20 players are within a few feet of each other.)
More worried about the future of the sport period and the athletes than I am thinking about the season.
