I don't like Robert Turbin's obsession with hulking his arms... hopefully he just spends the rest of the off-season making his legs stronger so he has some counter balance to being so top heavy.

I'd certainly like to see his programming. A dude who grows in cross-sectional area that much in his arms while having relatively a smaller trunk and legs is either not doing his squatting right or he's got some really bizarre genetics.

That really depends on what you define "great shape" as. Most people define it as really low body fat, but that's not a particularly good indicator of the ability to express athletic performance.

A bit of excess fat on a lineman can be positive, particularly in the offseason when they're working on strength. It's really hard to improve strength at their intermediate/advanced level at a reasonably fast rate without some fat addition as well. If the excess body fat is really a problem a lot of it's going to come off once all that conditioning training starts, and the season will cause a bit of weight loss as well.

I was kind of thinking along the same lines....why would a RB need to have such huge arms. I understand legs, shoulders, body in general...but what good does enormous biceps do for you?

He's wearing a hoodie underneath his jersey, and has his right hand pulling down the pocket of the hoodie. Probably makes him look significantly more overweight than he actually is. He is undoubtedly a very big man though.

Some people are built top heavy, some carry a lot of muscle in their legs and some carry it all in their butt. It doesn't take "bizarre genetics." People (men and woman alike) are built differently, carry weight differently. I really doubt it has anything to do with a specific training program. Turbin can still probably squat at least 3x as much as anyone who has posted in this thread.
