Funny thing is I've been reading the twitter-sphere via ESPN.

Everyone has been on Brian Hoyer's jock for putting up a then 15 for 23 performance for 198 yards behind a stellar ground game and killer defense.

Who does that sound like?

Watching Andy Dalton play tonight....His numbers were 10/33 86 yards. Sort of makes Russell Wilson's game last Sunday look out of the world. Bengals are dropping, 49ers are sinking, Panthers are cellar dwelling, so are the Falcons, Bears are hibernating....while the Lions and Cards are on the top. Madness!!!!

Well, the precious media loving Santa Clara O-Line got flat out OWNED on Sunday by the Rams. It was beautiful.

Really the best reason not to panic as a Seahawk fan is just how terrible some of the other contenders have looked in isolated instances.

Patriots, Broncos, Chargers, 49ers, Packers, Bengals, Colts, Panthers, Steelers, Chiefs, and Saints have all had at least one dreadful outing. The Eagles are 1-2 against the NFC west with their lone win being that narrow win against the Rams, and now Foles is hurt. This looks like the type of year in which there are no dominant teams and a dozen different teams have a good shot at contending.

It was ok last night but did you catch them against Tampa Bay? Brian Hoyer had -1 yard in the rushing column and that was still only 4 yards less than Ben Tate, on 10 carries no less. Even West's 48 yards on 15 carries couldn't lift their YPC to 2.

That's why I like watching the NFL vs. college football.

The Browns looked pretty darn good last night. It was the first time this season I've seen them, and I was impressed with their defense and with Brian Hoyer's play.

But the Browns are going to be facing a dilemma soon if Hoyer keeps playing well. Do they trade Johnny Football and hitch their wagon to Hoyer? Or do they keep him on the sidelines and put up with the fans that will inevitably cry for Manziel after Hoyer's first tough outing and waste a valuable commodity that could earn them some draft capital?

On the Lions, Cardinals, and Browns:

It just goes to show how quickly some teams can turn it around behind great coaching, solid QB play, and all the right elements of young and veteran talent coming together and being on the same page.

*cough, cough* Andrew Luck *cough, cough*

Well, SF drafted 2 o-linemen in the first round a little while back and now, they aren't getting that much out of that investment, at least THIS year.

In fact, it has been eerily quiet lately....snicker.

Quickly? Seems like all these teams have followed the niner blueprint of 8 years of top 11 picks in the draft and then hiring a competent coach. I would not describe it as having turned it around "quickly" though.
