Beltre is a first ballot HOFer

He was the 31st player to get 3000 hits which is basically a guarantied HOF stat unless you've been heavily linked to the steroid era corruption like A-roid...

Oh I didn’t even think of that. I agree hall of famer. And he was a great character guy. Absolutely loved the back and forth between him and Felix!!

He never had the huge peak season like some guys but he was consistent for so many years he just kept putting up season after season of great numbers. It's somewhat mind boggling to find out he's in the top 40 all time for WAR in baseball history. Ahead of guys like Nolan Ryan, Griffey, Wade Boggs, Trout, and Chipper Jones.

Those are some big names. He really became more of a feared hitter too as he got to the end of his career

5 Gold Glove and 4 Silver Slugger awards. He always had the hot corner locked down.

Always thought it was a bummer the M’s didn’t get the best of him but after just looking at his career stats he had a nice run here.

Funny thing…3 of his 5 100 SO seasons were here.

Yeah he was really good with the dodgers and then really good with the Sox, but yeah he sure did nail down that hot corner

Plus he finished up a game for us after getting a testicle crushed or detached or something. That alone should get him in the HOF. Maybe not the Baseball HOF, but *somewhere*!

It's because he was such a disappointment here and tore it up in Boston and Texas is why he's not remembered well. He had a great glove but didn't like hitting here.

His only "negative" is that he played for so many different teams. I think some of the voters don't like that.

But he was a damn fine player, no matter where he went, until the end at least.

AB will probably get to the HOF even though they played different positions AB had similar career offensive stats to Eddie Murray who was also known for consistently both player had over 3000 hits, Murray had over 500 HRs while Beltre was a little short both players played for 20 yrs
