LTH,

I would definitely say you are one of the more optimistic posters here.

That’s not a bad thing and that’s not a great thing.

Most people don’t want to be negative all the time but most people do see trends and don’t live on previous successes.

Seattle under Carroll plays inconsistent football, consistently.

That’s a trend.

There is a flaw to Carroll’s coaching which is probably why Seattle struggles to build and maintain momentum on offense for a lot of games. There is also flaws in defense which is why Seattle struggles to get off the field on third downs.

All that equates to Carroll’s game plans are fatally designed which does NOT improve Seattle.

Can’t tell you how many times Seattle’s defense plays back 10 yards on a 3rd and 2, 3rd and 4 and the QB completes the quick pass easily for a first down.

These are the things that kill any of hope that Carroll can adjust defensive play calls and game plans to suit how the game is currently being played.

Seattle for alot of the times, fall behind only to score points towards the end of the game and comes down to what he says are one or two plays that made a difference.

No, there is no sense of urgency with his coaching.

Carroll relies completely on a bend but don’t break philosophy on defense rather than attack the offense.

His sit back and watch approach hinders Seattle’s ability to dictate any momentum on defense and this is years of Carroll football.

Which is why I consider it a designed approach to put Seattle against really difficult odds to win games efficiently.

And that’s just on defense.

His very outdated approach on offense and rather predictable drives, play action passes are equally as tiresome.

Waldron is the OC and just started so we can give him some benefit of the doubt and time but when you have a good QB, top QB, you don’t expect him to go through so many OCs.

And what’s the reason he has too?

In the end, it’s cause he is handcuffed by an outdated head coach.

It’s hard to be optimistic when it’s years of frustration.

A lot of posters here has experienced years of frustrating football and it doesn’t change.

Carroll keeps the same frustrating football formula and posters here has seen enough and want a change.

If Seattle has losing records with a different head coach then at least they tried something different with a different head coach. And they can do so again, and that gives them hope.

But doing the same things over and over again with the same head coach is just madness.

You can’t expect change or improvements with doing the same thing over and over again.

You’re stuck in a circle. A vicious never ending cycle that repeats itself, over and over again.

And that’s how many posters here feel.

Just my thoughts.

100% this. We are living in the definition of insanity right now.
