Carlos Dunlap does it right.

He brings a controlled pass rush while maintaining outside leverage verses the run.

Complete player that brings leadership to the field of play.

This is great news. Dunlap is a very good DE and our Defense is going to start this season how they ended it last season.

I don't love losing Reed, but adding Gabe Jackson, Everett, Hyder as new starters are good moves. The Hyder signing makes more sense now as he will slide inside to replace Reed.

How many of those game ending/saving sacks did he have? I know he had a few.

Excited that he’s back. Phenomenal player.

For an off season that was supposed to be boring this year been very good. Now let’s get KJ back and get back to kicking butt.

I’m glad he is back.

He makes KNJ look slightly less like the worst DC in the league. Not getting Quin was outright stupid though.

I like Dunlap for more than just his positional prowess. He is the kind of player who builds team spirit and unity, which is a very necessary component for success. I feel retaining Dunlap was one of the essential moves we had to make.

This is the signing I've been hoping for.

Dunlap gives us a front line edge disrupter that can pull down 10+ sacks if he stays healthy.........and I'm just fine with this signing coming at the expense of Reed being cut.

Dude has never performed without an elite pass rusher next to him. His best year was when he played next to Clark, and 6 of his 8 sacks last year came after we traded for Dunlap.

Don't get me wrong I wish we had the cap to keep both Reed and sign Dunlap. But if I'm choosing? Goodbye Jarran.

Exactly this! I couldn't agree more and was the reason I was really hoping he would be resigned. And the man deserves to hear the roar of the 12's on gameday!

Yup. Basically said the same thing in an email this morning when someone mentioned losing Reed.
