No sack today, can't remember when was the last time it happens. One more data point in favor of "sacks are as much a QB stat as an OL stat."

Didn't Sando come out ranking Geno in his own tier below all other starters and some backups based upon 10 year-old production?Sando is spot on.
I think it's great he's adjusting his take based on the performance on the field.Didn't Sando come out ranking Geno in his own tier below all other starters and some backups based upon 10 year-old production?
It sure is easy being a writer or forum poster who can change the narrative so easily. Some of the audience accepts what is stated as gospel.
Watching the narratives change in the media is only outdone by the narrative shifts on .net.
He changed his mind when presented with evidence that was contrary to his previous belief. Nothing wrong with that. It would be worse if he had doubled-down.Didn't Sando come out ranking Geno in his own tier below all other starters and some backups based upon 10 year-old production?

Actually, his take now has some merit. I question how the narrative surrounding Geno was flawed to begin with.He changed his mind when presented with evidence that was contrary to his previous belief. Nothing wrong with that. It would be worse if he had doubled-down.
AgreedThe Hawks prayers have been answered.
IMO they are just getting going this O is not Clicking 100 percent yet... Wow! watch out when they do...Everyone wrote him off, NOW, he is writing back with his performances. Geno is top 10 QB this season, after today's RTG 132.6, 320 yards game, don't be too surprised he is graded top 5.
I suppose if reading comprehension is hardDidn't Sando come out ranking Geno in his own tier below all other starters and some backups based upon 10 year-old production?

I gave him 0% chance of success, and he is showing me what a dumbass I am for having believed that. Solid, solid football. I have no criticism to levy.If you ask people here, he's terrible. Geno is definitely playing great football.

Sounds just like your political views!I gave him 0% chance of success, and he is showing me what a dumbass I am for having believed that. Solid, solid football. I have no criticism to levy.
For the past few weeks, I have been saying that with Geno, we have the luxury and could afford to draft a project that needs to sit and learn for a season or so.If the Hawks score a plug and play QB in the draft , Smith knows he will have to re-win the starting position again . He is playing well and auditioning for a starting job elsewhere , next season .imo
Yup, Sando sure did, and Geno didn't write back.Didn't Sando come out ranking Geno in his own tier below all other starters and some backups based upon 10 year-old production?
It helps that Geno often steps into the pocket and delivers the ball over the middle. It seems like the pass protection is better with Geno under center than with Wilson. Interesting.
At the end of the day, it's all about performance on the field. If someone is going to come along and take the job from him they'll need to prove it on the field.Smith probably won't be in Seattle much longer ; possibly 1 more season , but not more than that . imo
Most QBs step into the pocket, OK, except the ones that liked to run circles. It helps that Geno often steps into the pocket and delivers the ball over the middle.
