It's not fair to Lock.

People don't really consider this enough. It's not fair to your developmental guy to toss him in, down a bunch, against a relentless defense behind a failing offensive line.

I don't think it's fair to Geno to bench him mid-game with the team at 5-2 off a game winning drive last week, either, but I understand that people will not hear that noise from me.

It puts him in a position to fail, when in reality, you should be doing everything you can to ease transitions if you have to make them.

I thought you had to seriously consider it last week near the end of the 3rd quarter, and I feel the same way at the half now here. But I doubt PC does.

Geno's fine. You don't bench a guy for struggling on the road against the #1 defense in the league, particularly when the offensive line is playing poorly.
