Isn't being the best non-playoff team wonderful?

No playoffs AND no high draft pick. Isn't it great! Thanks so much, John, for this juggernaut of mediocrity you have assembled. Can we make it 4 years in a row of 9-8 ball next year? Pretty please??
Exactly.

JS needs to go. Grubb needs to go.

My preseason prediction was 9-8 so we are almost there.

this is the sort of fate I wish on teams I hate. Long term mediocrity. Just good enough not to make needed changes and not good enough to be a threat of any real success.

But, Why?....

You do know that Carroll controlled this teams personal decisions until like 2019 right?... look at all the talent JS has added since taking full control, Are you really going to deny that?...
Because the O line sucked once again this year and he has already admitted his flawed philosophy about interior o linemen.

New head coach for the first time in over a decade.

Rookie Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, and Special Teams Coordinator.

We all knew there were going to be growing pains. Mike Mac should get 3 years. Plus most of this roster is held over and we need to give the dude time to get his own players in here.

I’m sure deep down most of us know we werent winning a chip this year. We need to give it time.

That being said, there are things that are inexcusable:

-Bad offensive line for a decade
-Harbaugh (I just think hes a douche)
-Inability and/or lack of desire to run the football
-Geno’s decision making and carelessness with the football

We need to accept that and enjoy the fact that we are or were even in the hunt for the playoffs.

Lots of work to be done, but at the same time we also have lots of things to be excited about and look forward to.

I wish the NFL would start rewarding mediocrity. They at least try to take care of the crappy teams by giving them high draft picks. They take care of the good teams by giving them a ton of nationally televised games. Where's our reward for being so consistently .500?

Could a Bears style tank be in the works? Trade away your quality players and release players on fat contracts. I would keep a small amount of the good young players still on rookie contracts

Probably not the Hawks need to be sold in the near future and that would decrease their value

This is what I would do. A young, vibrant team, making a deep push, and packing the stands, in 2026 or 2027, would be much more valuable.

Not happening because John won't take a step back for the long-term good of the franchise because he knows his seat is getting hotter by the day. We are stuck in mediocrity as long as we stick with John.

Did he? I don't know the details, but in interviews John made it sound like nothing changed in terms of his authority and responsibilities for player acquisition

Wow, You're right...it's 100% JS fault this team has lost this season.

You know, I'm blaming JS for Geno throwing that game ending INT... thank you sir for opening my eyes... Yep, get rid of JS and we'll be 17-0 next year..
