Geno playing like a top 5 QB the first half of last year, cost them CJ Stroud, or whatever QB they would've drafted had Geno outright sucked.

It wasn't Geno's play that took them out of range for Stroud (the 2nd overall pick), it was Denver not quite being bad enough to give the Hawks a top 2 pick. Houston picked 2nd after a record of 3-13-1. A record that bad is never within the range of outcomes for a Pete Carroll team, regardless of how the QB plays. Even if Geno wasn't good, maybe the floor in 2022 might have been around 5-12, which still wasn't in range for Stroud. There's enough evidence now, with a variety of QBs, that the floor for a Carroll team is 7 wins.
