Lotta very smart people all seem to think he's good, and he just got $10 million per year. He is a good player.

PFF has consistently graded him in the 50's. His coverage ability (lack thereof) seems to be a big reason for that.

PFF consistently rates good players worse when they're on bad defenses, though. They don't account for how much harder an individual players job gets when others suffer around them.

Brooks could turn and carry a seam or crosser as well as any tier 2 ILB out there. Put it on tape over and over. That's not garden variety ability.

There is a plan…doesn’t sound like 56 is a part of it. Wish him the best in Miami, but I’ll trust the new regime on personnel decisions moving forward. There’s a reason they’re letting him move on, unless we hear they tried to match or offered comparable compensation.
