Apparently Pete underwent knee surgery during the bye and has been hobbled as of late. Since the story proceeds to skip ahead to other stuff, I'm guessing Pete will be on the sideline tomorrow night.

Pretty sure I once saw Pete on the sideline with a cane, a top hat, and a monocle.
