Garrett got after all half the suspension that was handed down to Burfict over his helmet to helmet on Indy's Jack Doyle. He'll be back for 2020 assuming he shows contrition, which basically means not challenging it and acting sorry.
Rudolph meanwhile is focused on his own football performance, which resulted this week in him getting pulled from the winless Bengals game. It's wise for Steelers to have Duck in there for the matchup including and beyond football reasons. He's going to be going into camp competing if he's not outright cut in March for football reasons. He can't do a Kaep and weaponize this.
Everyone's interests are served really by keeping it to football and no-commenting beyond that.
