To be fair, I think we haven't been healthy as we think we are.

The game against Arizona, had they made the switch at RCB (instead of Williams), I think Seattle wins it.

Also some of the play-calling on offense was bad too.

Hopefully the players don't patronize the "12's" anymore with fake adulation. It was getting a bit nauseating. It's just not the same environment as it was a couple years ago. That's to no fault of the fans. Ticket prices have skyrocketed, and many of the diehards have been priced out.
This was my least enjoyable season at the Clink and not because of the teams performance. I have been to every game since 2006 and the environment is just different now and it started to change last year. We have new season ticketholders in my area and between the 4 seats the people showed up for 4 games. Even the guy who has been sitting next to me for the last 5 or 6 years only made it to 3 games. People are taking advantage of the financial opportunity. We are getting lucky because most of these seats are being bought by Hawk fans but they really don't seem to get what to do in the stadium. These people are in for a big surprise when we have a couple of losing seasons and suddenly they have to eat the cost of the tickets.

The fans are loud and will always be loud but so many no longer stand on defense and the persistent Sea.....Hawk chants that are started when we are on offense are just irritating. I really got pissed yesterday when Tyler Lockett was lying on the field injured and the Sea......Hawk chant was once again started! Have some class, our player is injured! The thing that irritates me a lot is walking out of the stadium after a loss and the person who has to start the Sea......hawk chant. I don't believe in going into a depression but the chant is as annoying as the people who wanted a parade last year after losing in the Super Bowl. All the way down the ramp you would think we had just had a huge win. It is almost like the cheering is more important than the game.

I love hearing the cheers after a win but why do people insist on cheering a loss. Does that make them feel like better fans? It is almost like our thing is just being loud no matter where it is, like at a Mariner game (when it is pretty disrespectful to the Mariners).

I do think the home field advantage has been minimized. It is definitely not as loud as it was a couple of years ago on a consistent basis. The team this year is playing better on the road and I am glad that is where we will be in the playoffs!

This is something I wanted to address.

I have noticed, as a season ticket holder since the new stadium was built (and before that) in the past two years that indeed the fear of playing here is gone. Teams have figured out silent counts and other methods to neutralize the noise. Where 10 years ago opposing teams were besides themselves trying to hear the play call, now all they do is silent count and the ball is snapped without issue no matter how LOUD it is.

This, to me, is one of the most distressing elements of all. Where our home was once feared as the most intimidating, LOUDEST place to play, is little more than a nuisance to teams coming here.

5-3 at home this year is probably my least favorite stat of all.

It's been lessened, that's for sure. But the team has also dug its own grave as well. I have at least 10 friends that have been priced out of their tickets over the past three years. It's not cool. We're told that we're valued, yet my brother's tickets have gone from $85 a seat to $135 a seat since 2013, and we paid $145 just to park against GB last year for the first game of the season.

Here's another story. And this doesn't really relate to anything here, but whatever. We were able to get my 12-year-old nephew on the field before the Panthers game. He has cancer. We paid a lot to do so. We bought very expensive footballs from the team shop to get them signed. Before buying them, I walked across the street and asked three different attendants if we could bring them in. They all said yes. So we buy Sharpies, and the footballs. We go to the gate for our escort into the game, and the field, and are told that the footballs are considered weapons and can't be brought in. We had no time to take them to the truck, or we'd miss going on the field. We asked if we could leave the footballs with them, and get them after the game. We were told absolutely not. So we threw them in the garbage can. Such BS. And my bro is a 10 year season ticket holder, and has four seats. Great customer service. They really love us 12s.

Apologies for venting, everyone.
My tickets have gone up about $20 a seat over the last 10 years. It sucks but I don't find that completely unreasonable for the product they are putting on the field. I pay about $70 a seat. They put many new seats on sell this year in the new Toyota deck for about what I pay and we all had an option to opt into that. I paid $8 to park in Bremerton for the GB game last year and took the ferry for $8. They are raising prices but there are options.

Talking about high ticket prices......

I perused the NFL Ticket Exchange last week thinking about purchasing a ticket for the Rams game......only to discover that the cheapest seat in the stadium was $200!

I've watched people who purchase "store bought" tickets at our games. They never scream while the Defense is on the field because.........they are taking "selfies". What is happening to the 12th Man?
What is happening is the "12th man"! The majority of the 12th man are people walking around with jerseys who have never watched a game. To me, the 12th man is the fan who started in 2012. I'm not sure who all saw the skit on SNL before the Bronco Super Bowl, it was a lady who said "I have been a fan since the beginning.......hesitation......of 2012"! Our fan base now is annoying and it used to be awesome.

I would never say I am a "12". I am a Seahawk fan! I love my team but a "12" is someone who hopped on board when Russell Wilson became a Seahawk.

I am negative about our crowd but I have been to Dallas and Arizona the last couple of years and the Clink is still way louder than those.

Ridiculous to make excuses, like other teams have no injuries or other issues! They won, hopefully we even it up this weekend. If we blitz Carson Palmer that might happen!

2 losses to teams with a combined 27-3 record. Rams game was an anomaly. Not disagreeing with you all but we did draw two very good teams here this season.

And coming off bye weeks to boot.

I agree, I was at the browns game... most of the people around me were not cheering or even standing up.. WTF happend to the fans?
you do know how much tix are going for on the scalper sites....huge cash to watch a game now...increase in white collar fans and our team is a fad so maybe not the best football fans in general.

I don't doubt the fans one bit, they are pretty loud, all the games I went to at the Clink this year was loud, ofcourse the playoffs and championship games have a different feel to it, but we as fans are loud. If people can't hear it, it is because of hearing damage after so many years of being loud. A team winning or losing shouldn't be attributed to how loud fans are. We are loud and nobody can say it otherwise.

thats awful, but where the hell do you park? Ive never paid more then 20 bucks.

Yeah when I was scoping out Seattle this summer I went to a couple Mariners games and walked from my hotel to the airport light rail station and took it to the balllpark... think I paid $5 round trip.

Now that I'm living up here I don't expect that method of transportation to change... I'm a big baseball fan LOL and it seems like a great way to not have to deal with parking.

Well, if we're playing on the road in the playoffs and playing well while on the road it bodes well for us and not so much the home team.

This.

It's not that the crowd isn't loud anymore, or the player's aren't jacked up for home games.............IMO it's 90% teams have figured out how to counteract the crowd noise with silent counts, hand signals and don't forget now the QB has a mic in his ear to get play calls.

Add in the fact that the Hawks have gone to two SB's,and won one. So that makes them easy to get up for if you're the other team coming in here ready to rock and beat a team that took pleasure in rubbing your face in losses the past 4 years.

I'm a newb to attending games and I do see different faces in the seats around us, but most of them are rabid fans. That may be because we sit in the nosebleed seats. That said there are different sound levels for different teams and situations. Browns? Fugeddaboutit. They ne3ver had a chance and it was hard to get up for. 3rd and 3 during the Rams game? Throat busting ear popping noise level. Didn't seem to phase them. I'm not sure the issue is with bandwagon fans or high ticket prices. I think teams have been forced to learn silent snap counts and are getting good at it. We have more false starts then they do. Nature of the beast. We have and we do make it tough for teams and they are adjusting. Biggest reason for the losses (and could easily be 4-4...Detroit) is the play on the field.

When I bought my season tickets back in 92 I got two season tickets for $200. Second row from the top, 35 yard line. Held on to them for over a decade, the last game I attended was the beast quake game, then I just couldn't afford it anymore. I couldn't go to a single game now, for what I paid for a whole season back then.

I miss being at games live, but don't really miss the drive. As for the home record, it's al about how good the team is, has very little to do with how loud the crowd is.

This is the weirdest post of all given Seattle's proclivity for coffee and tech dating back well before 1999.
