They traded for a 31 year old basket case and gave him 20 million. This trade makes very little sense from a rebuild prospective. They don’t have the talent to win now, and by the time their draft picks develop AB and his contract will be an albatross.Atradees":3gn8zknf said:For a 3rd and 5th this was great deal considering everyone knew the Raiders were stocked in the first round.
Mayock and Gruden are two of the finest minds in football. People are comparing Mack and AB......but mack and AC got the Raiders the rebuild Cache. The comparison is muted between the contracts cash hauls. Lets see what they do in the first round. Carr has good reason to be happy and the fan base a little energized.
They do have The Cable issue....

AB's new contract is reportedly a three-year pact worth $54.1 million with $30 million guaranteed, which is a far cry from the zero dollars and zero cents that was remaining in guarantees on his Steelers deal.
Regardless, Brown has become one of the most powerful players in the league, literally overnight. He’ll be bringing that power to the Black Hole in Oakland, and Gruden will be at the mercy of whether Brown ever chooses to use that power against his new coach, his new quarterback, or anyone else who gets in Brown’s way.
