I could handle that as Russell's backup. He was a serviceable backup to Matt before being told never, ever, ever to run unless he lost yardage. In this offense, that'd be a much better thing.

He has some skills, I'd be pleased if he made the 53

I love bringing Boykin and Adams to camp - but no way do I want to go into the regular season with an UFA as the #2 QB. Maybe a #3 or practice squad guy we can develop.

I think we will see TJack, Manuel, or somebody in that mold join the team. If the UFA beats that person out, then maybe...

Jackson will be back. He's everything you want in a backup. Capable, intelligent, supportive, experienced.

Most importantly, he has never had to play. If he had, you would learn that he has next to no characteristics you want in a backup QB.
