Might be time to put Prosise on IR (designated to return) and add Mike Davis to the roster from PS. Davis has produced more than Prosise in their NFL careers thus far plus is durable.

Not even close. Davis is a bum compared to Prosise.

I am shocked that the guy who spent a lot of time in college injured is injured.

Hey remember when we kept him but we couldn't play him because he was injured?

Good times.

Football is a violent game full of people that have a high pain tolerance. Most of the football players I have known were always, to some extent, injured.

I am not going to tell a guy to play through the pain when I know I wouldn't have been able to.

But I am not exactly shocked that CJ is injured, and when he is healthy he isn't making such a massive difference that it matters.

There is a difference between "hurt" and "injured".

In 9 games, Prosise has 192 yards rushing and 295 yards receiving.
In 16 games, Davis has 108 yards rushing and 63 yards receiving.

If by producing more, he means playing nearly twice as many games and gaining less than half of the yards, then hawkfan68 is spot on.

Wouldn't "a bum" be the one going on a free ride for his $$ rather than actually earning his keep each week?

I wouldn't argue "fragile", but he's not "soft".

Does "brittle" make you feel more comfortable? :stirthepot:

Yes, but I associate "soft" as more as of an attitude thing. He plays plenty hard, but his body keeps failing him. "Brittle" would describe that well.

CJ your body had failed you. Time to finish your MBA at Notre Dame, you can still do many great things but it will not be in the NFL.

Before we all flip out: this is why we kept four RBs on the roster. We knew either he or Rawls would get hurt. We're prepared for this.

He is sooooo talented when he is on the field, problem he is seemingly never on the field. It might really be time to cut bait. He just can't hold up. I mean when the heck did he even get hurt??????

It was funny-after seeing him make some really nice downfield catches recently, I kept thinking "how about that? He's finally staying healthy and can really help us."

Guess not. I do want to see McKissic in that 3rd down back role though and see what he can do. And CJ's injury could prove to be not quite as serious as 1st thought either. Maybe he's only out a couple weeks.

He's missed 13 out of 21 games (including playoffs) in his young career so far. Calling him injury prone is accurate. Dude can't stay on the field.

Switch him back to WR. Dude's body can't hold up as an NFL RB.

That's actually an intriguing idea. He was a WR for most of his time IIRC at ND. Maybe he would be able to stay on the field more-just don't send him over the middle for crossing routes.

The Hawks like him and until he's done for the season I don't expect them to do anything else. Rawls and Carson can both be 3rd down backs, McKissic can too.

Dude is brittle. I dont think his body is built for the rigors of professional football

He's not injured. Y:E:R:::T:R:I:p:p:I:N::::
With all our injury-prone rbs combined, we have one healthy one, and he does just fine.

Out here
What's most frustrating about this is the fact that John and Pete made RB a huge priority during the 2016 offseason, and invested mighty in it during that draft.

Prosise: constantly injured
Collins: Gone
Brooks: Gone

What a waste.

Sad news, but sadly to this early part of his career, par for the course.

When out there, he is a really solid third down option.... When out there....
