So, The bills have cut Jon Ryan.

Crazy thought but would it even be possible?

I don’t know the rules involved with the PS.

I’m grasping at straws because I like Jon so much.

That's a surprise. I would have thought he was a an easy call to make their roster. Their current punter isn't nearly as good, but has been with them for several years. Probably has to do with salary. Hope Jon finds a new landing spot.

The thing I most admire about Jon is that no mater where he goes he maintains his sense of humor .... [tweet]https://twitter.com/JonRyan9/status/1036019998706343937[/tweet]

He’s not eligible. He has far too many accrued seasons on the 53-man roster.

Jordan Simmons is an interesting prospect. Definitely more physical than Odhi. Is he healthy?

I'm overjoyed at the fact that Odhiambo is no longer a Seahawk...he was straight trash. Hope Simmons has more upside than Roos...whom I really, really liked.

Yea I kinda figured that would be the case.
Pretty sure it’s not something that Jon would go for anyway.
I just like the guy, and hope someone picks him up.
Hate to see his career end with being cut by two teams.
My thinking was, if he could be signed to our PS, he could at least leave/retire as a Seahawk, and almost do it on his own terms.

Like I said, grasping at straws.

Mike Tyson claimed by the Texans. Amara Darboh claimed by the Patriots. D.J. Alexander to the Eagles.

Just comparing the raw athletic data of what is available coming into the league.

Odhiambo 6’5, 314
Simmons 6’4, 339

Arm Length
Odhiambo: 33 1/3 in
Simmons: NA

Hand Size
O: 9 5/8 in
S: NA

10 yard split
Odhiambo: 1.84s
Simmons: 1.83s (5.21 Forty YD)

Bench
Odhiambo: 23
Simmons: 23

Vert
O: 27 in
S: 25 in

Broad
O: 7’09”
S: 8’03”

20 Yard Shuttle
O: 4.69 s
S: 4.86 s

3-Cone
O: 8.09s
S: 8.03s

We know Odhiambo’s future was as an OG, even though he technically came in as an LT, and provided at least some expertise there. But the raw numbers tells me Simmons has much more potential as an NFL OG in comparison to only Odhiambo. About the same athleticism and explosive measures but you have to give Simmons the edge for being 25 pound heavier.

Ironically, I would not be surprised if Odhiambo lands with the Raiders with Cable. If not claimed, though, he might find a spot on the PS.

Tackle depth is now Fant. Ifedi might have ankle issues. Fluker can play RT. Britt has history, Pocic practiced RT last year. Hunt, lol. I mean it’s crazy that OT doesn’t seem like a priority to invest depth in.

Maybe they are working on trade with Thomas that is going to net an above average RT.

I'm in on Natrell Jamerson as a safety prospect. He isn't ready yet, but he has legit speed and a good head on his shoulders.

Saints were trying him at corner. I think he can be better at free. If we can stash him on the PS and teach him the system... who knows? Seattle showed interest pre-draft. I'm praying for this one.

He's headed to Houston ...... [tweet]https://twitter.com/ProFootballTalk/status/1036340452126089222[/tweet]

Which means TE Marcus Lucas and DT Frank Herron have yet to officially sign and confirm intention.

Awesome news about Keenan Reynolds.

Caleb Scott played a lot in the preseason . . . and I never understood why. Maybe good on special teams?

Good team work :2thumbs:

We know It is not uncommon to see people come and go on these practice squads.

I suspect there is some interest out there in QB Alex McGough. There maybe some recruiting going on for where he should land on a practice squad.

For height length speed, It would appear they chose Caleb Scott over Stringfellow.

On the inside, Keenan Reynolds quickness and reading ability was their choice.

Both receiver choices are very smart, humble, gritty with perceived developmental upside. I don't believe we have seen everything these two can do. Also, how they relate and mirror a quarterback and OC is something that isn't all that apparent to us who are not privy to the VMAC on a daily basis.

What we work toward today is for an extension on into tomorrow.
