Here's my latest spin of the roulette wheel ...

Your score is: 5646 (GRADE: A)

Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 8 (NYG): Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia (A)
Round 2 Pick 13 (MINN): Michael Bennett, DT, Ohio State (A-)
Round 3 Pick 4 (OAK): Devin Smith, WR, Ohio State (A)
Round 4 Pick 12 (CLE): Ben Koyack, TE, Notre Dame (A-)
Round 4 Pick 20 (PHI): Jeremiah Poutasi, OT, Utah (A-)
Round 4 Pick 31: Eric Rowe, CB/FS, Utah (B-)
Round 5 Pick 1 (BUF): B.J. Finney, C, Kansas State (B+)
Round 5 Pick 30 (G.B.): Deion Barnes, DE, Penn State (B)
Round 5 Pick 31: Vince Mayle, WR, Washington State (A-)
Round 6 Pick 5: Max Valles, OLB, Virginia (C)
Round 6 Pick 18 (BUF): Leterrius Walton, DT, Central Michigan (C+)
Round 7 Pick 4 (OAK): Craig Mager, CB, Texas State (B)
Round 7 Pick 31: Antwan Goodley, WR, Baylor (B)

I'm not entirely sure that I buy in to this site's evaluation system, but at least this has been instructive in learning who some of the players are and where they are projected by some to fall.

One thing that I've found interesting -- Todd Gurley in nearly every scenario I've run has been available in the early 2nd round. I'm beginning to wonder if he really might slip that far, given recent history. Last year, Bishop Sankey was the first running back drafted (2nd Round, pick 54). The year before that (2013) -- same thing. Geovani Bernard went with the 37th pick to the Bengals ... and the next RB taken was LeVeon Bell to the Steelers at 48.

This looks to me like a fairly deep draft in terms of receivers and offensive lineman and with all of the stuff surrounding Marshawn Lynch, this might be the perfect opportunity to trade back in to that upper part of the 2nd round, nab Gurley, and pick up another pick or 2 along the way.

Other guys that I'm personally starting to get intrigued by -- Devin Smith (love to have that kind of blazing speed added to the mix) ... and Breshad Perriman (would love it if he were still there in the 4th or 5th round to be had).

The thing about that is you have to back off a bit on all the trades that are offered, I am sure there are a lot of calls but you can stack up to like 20 piucks in this draft. Trying to be real is hard in this cause you want to play the game.

I agree, but I keep making a couple trades because they need to figure in the comp picks should probably give us 4 more picks mid to late. It does seem like their trade offers seem to be awfully generous as well so I think we are getting more there than we should.

We do know that this FO is very active w/ trades during the draft so I foresee a likely move or 2 back at some point, probably early. This would gives us too many picks to pay/keep all so we will no doubt use some of these picks to move back up to get guys they want.

I think it is just interesting and fun to see what players might be available where. I find myself doing much more research on the available options at each point every time I play and it really helps to see the kind of depth that may be available at different positions.

I think I'll stop now; there seems to be too many scenarios that aren't realistic. I mean, more than once I've seen a team trade up a little bit, then re-trade that pick for less to back back more.

Here is my attempt.

Traded back until I felt DGB wouldn't be available any more. Grabbed Jalen Collins 2nd cause Rob loves him and Bmax is probably gone. Michael Bennett is a must have because if 1 Michael Bennett is good, 2 Michael Bennett's are unstoppable. After that just grabbed guys I felt had good value.

Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 9 (STL): Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Oklahoma (A)
Round 2 Pick 31: Jalen Collins, CB, LSU (B)
Round 3 Pick 2 (TENN): Michael Bennett, DT, Ohio State (A)
Round 3 Pick 8 (STL): Jesse James, TE, Penn State (B+)
Round 3 Pick 31: Za'Darius Smith, DE/OLB, Kentucky (A-)
Round 4 Pick 3 (OAK): Tyler Lockett, WR, Kansas State (C+)
Round 4 Pick 31: Eric Rowe, CB/FS, Utah (D+)
Round 5 Pick 31: Jeff Heuerman, TE, Ohio State (A)
Round 6 Pick 5: Tyrus Thompson, OT, Oklahoma (C-)
Round 7 Pick 31: Josh Robinson, RB, Mississippi St. (A)

Green-Beckham is out of Missouri

First one over 6000.

Your score is: 6040 (GRADE: A)

This mock has everything, trade down with ATL to get an early third and 1st pick DGB.

And as most drafts ive done there has been a focuse in drafting multiple WRs/TEs and O-Line.

Then I traded the 2016 1st Round Pick for Todd Gurley. If Lynch comes back Id probably just place TG on PUP for 1st Half. If RBs looking healthy then sit him on IR.

Traded 2-31 down a couple times and spun it into 3 4th round picks. With 3 round 3 picks I was fortunate enough to land some O-Line prospects and a TE that can block.

4th round I selected a pair of CBs. Tony Lippett on the outside and Ronald Darby to compete inside.

Then a pair of WRs. Justin Hardy to become the new Bryan Walters type WR the team seems to keep around but Hardy is better as WR. And what drew me to his name wasnt his insane production but he his thought of as one of the better blocking WRs.

The other is Ty Montgomery to be KR/PR. I had a chance to draft Tyler Lockett with both picks but I ultimately chose blocking prowess and size for durability. Montgomery is built like a bOARB.

Then I filled out the rest with with random bpa picks.

My Picks:
2-10 (ATL): Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, (A)
2-16 (S.D.): Todd Gurley, RB, (A)
3- 9 (ATL): Jake Fisher, OT, (A)
3-23 (PITT): Clive Walford, TE, (A)
3-31: Andy Gallik, OC, (A)
4-21 (CINN): Tony Lippett, WR, (A)
4-22 (PITT): Ronald Darby, CB, (B)
4-23:(CINN): Justin Hardy, (B+)
5-4 (OAK): Ty Montgomery, WR, (B-)
5-31: Robert Myers, OG/OT,(B+)
6-5: Max Valles, OLB (B+)
7-4 (OAK): Sean Mannion, QB, (A)
7-12 (CLE): Tyeler Davison, DT, (A)
7-31: Tevin McDonald, FS/SS, (B-)

I'm curious why anyone wouldn't draft a dt or de high. We used ob schifield more then I wanted and we need another Clemons.

There is no universe where the hawks draft a tight end in round 1-3.

This draft is de and wr heavy. a good chance a good ol men falls to a pick for us.

Traded down in the 1st for a couple of 2nd's, and traded next year's 1st for a shot at Jaelen Strong. I can't see the draft actually ending up this good, but would love it if it did . . .

Round 2 Pick 4 (JAX): Ereck Flowers, OT, Miami (Fla.) (A)
Round 2 Pick 5 (NYJ): Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State (A-)
Round 2 Pick 11 (CLE): Eddie Goldman, DT, Florida State (A-)
Round 2 Pick 31: Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Oklahoma (A)
Round 3 Pick 31: David Johnson, RB, Northern Iowa (A)
Round 4 Pick 4 (JAX): Henry Anderson, DE, Stanford (B+)
Round 4 Pick 31: Ali Marpet, OG, Hobart & William Smith (A)
Round 5 Pick 31: Jordan Hicks, OLB, Texas (B+)
Round 6 Pick 5: Tre McBride, WR, William & Mary (D)
Round 7 Pick 31: Blake Sims, QB, Alabama (B+)

The big issue I see is missing out on a CB and a true LEO backup. Not a big fan of DGB, but value was too good in the late 2nd, and ended up with 4 WR's (I am projecting David Johnson at WR).

IIRC I traded down and got two seconds, and then traded next year's first for Strong. I might have also picked up some extra thrids in one of those trades and trade into the 2nd. In fact, pretty sure that is what happened.
