Had a chance to decleat Thurmand and Sherman and held back big time. Respect.

if he had decleated them it would've been a penalty with these new dumb rules, I think that's a big reason why he held back

Disagree. He and Sherman are friends. Fitzgerald even came up for Sherman's celebrity softball event this summer.

He had 2 opportunities to obliterate Seahawks defenders and instead he just shielded them from the play.

Didn't surprise me.

He is a good human being

Fitz really deserves to play on a better team. Seems like an awesome guy, incredible player.

He did get to a Super Bowl, tho -- so I guess there's that.

Yeah, I wish more players were like Fitz - he blocks enough to make the play and take a defender out without trying to hurt him. Lots of class. Karma - what comes around goes around. Big reason he's so well respected.

I was gone for the Sherman one but my brother told me about it. I definitely noticed it right away on the Thurmond play though. By far the most likeable player on a team in my own team's division that I can remember. Though I did always like Barry Zito on the A's... ;)

Sherman went to Fitz's softball game also.

Think Fitz asked him first ?

I second this. Would be a perfect situation and I also think he loves our team and in return our team loves him. Mutual respect.

Hey could have killed Sherman and pulled up. I turned to my wife and said, he could have destroyed them. Gentlemen, this is the future of football, these are the rules.
