 ......Loaf, it's the pre-season for Marvin, at least he has plenty of time to write an excuse manifesto for this year.

The propaganda machinery kicked in yesterday. A virtual media blitz to reclaim the hearts and minds of both the disillusioned and bubble faithful.

Vernon Davis has declared Colen Kaepernick a totally different guy and promises a San Francisco treat .... even though the team moved to Santa Clara. Jim Tomsula chimed in Friday with the line that "he (Colin) took something good and made it better".

Tomsula also promises NaVorro Bowman will be ready to roll for the team's first minicamp at the end of April.

Anquan Boldin has declared the Niners 'better' than last year's record.

All three articles are prominently displayed on today's (4/11/15) NFL front page. So .... the image making begins anew. And, the chosen tactic is to ignore and move on from self inflicted damage and to hammer away on recreating "the bubble". They clearly still command considerable clout when it comes to propagating the company line thru "approved" media outlets. So continuing with those customary habits falls well within expectations. The bubble nation should be thrilled.

It is an even bigger deal this year. Got to build excitement and fill that Big Red Box on the way to Super Bowl 50.

The 50th Super Bowl is destined to play out as a really big deal. The league is committed to assist with whatever is necessary to celebrate the 50th anniversary. Reminders of the anniversary will be prominent at every stadium and in every broadcast thru out the league year. Santa Clara will enjoy considerable wind at their back. It is all gonna get really noisy. Although NFLAM continues to stand out with team advocates imbedded in their morning production, there are many many additional advocates distributed thru out the media. They will collectively help maintain a continuing edge and boost to team image and attendance. Again, the Santa Clara hype is gonna get very loud. Louder than anything that has come before Super Bowl 50.

One would think that with so much going their way ...... it should be impossible to muck it up.

That's certainly something to be relieved about .... maybe even thrilled.

Don't the Niners have a bunch of picks this year?

I could see Balke reloading the roster with some young talent if he drafts wisely. So I'm not quite sold on their complete demise just yet.

This is the NFL, good teams rarely stay down for long.........and the Niners are a good team. Sure they might lose 9-10 games next year, but I could also see them winning 8-9 and if they draft strong be back in contention in a year or two.

They have 9 picks, not as many as the last two years.

I kinda think that unless somebody unexpectedly falls to them at 15 they'll trade down and pick up more 2nd or 3rd round picks if possible.

This is the year we see if Baalke is as good as Niner fans hope he is. Not just this draft, but the stockpiling he's been doing over the last two years. A lot of those players are going to see playing time because the guys ahead of them are gone or will be playing less. In particular, the players who were injured when drafted who will get their shots.

DE Tank Carradine (actually will be his third year but Tomsula recently said it was an important year for him and he expected him to play), OG Brandon Thomas, CB Keith Reaser, CB Kenneth Acker, DE Kaleb Ramsey, and FB Trey Millard.

On top of that all the young players they have brought in who have been sitting behind vets now gone. They've taken 23 players in the last 2 years (tho two have already retired...lol). Time to see if Baalke knew what he was doing. Several players I want to see get more time. The aforementioned redshirts, plus TE Vance McDonald, WR Quinton Patton, DE/NT Quinton Dial, CB/S Jimmie Ward, RB Carlos Hyde, C/OG Marcus Martin, WR Bruce Ellington, CB Dontae Johnson, and OLB Aaron Lynch.

Surely they won't all be great or even good players, but this year they should get opportunities. We'll see what happens.

Shut up Marvin.

At this point, you are in wait and see mode. Expectations, roster spots, draft picks or whatever, you should be priming yourself for a long, painful year and I actually have more optimism than many Niner fans. I am just thinking that you are wasting your energy providing that much detail. Just sit back, provide short answers and pray that the Niners get 2011 type bounces all year long.

Someone had to say it... There is just a lot of tongue-in-ass going on here with you lately. It has to stop or at least slow down. By the start of the season you will be a 12 and all that.

And no, I didn't read your post. I just saw a bunch of names that really amount to nothing with the exception that they have played behind people in limited duty. :) Now get your shine box and head back to your fame amongst the challenged. The DenialZone

Shut up your own damn self Loaf.

If you'd bothered to read it then the entire point was that I'm in wait and see mode. It ain't just wait and see about draft picks but a ton of players on the roster. You don't like the length? Then don't read it. Don't presume to tell me what I can and can't say when answering another posters question.

Don't like that I get along with some other peeps on here? Too bad. That's your problem, not mine.
