There's a witness in the double murder case saying Hernandez was the trigger man in that??

He will get life without parole for the one he was convicted of. The 2nd one is just icing on the cake.

What I found interesting is under MA law, it wasn't a requirement to prove that Hernandez was the trigger man.

Knowing that, what the hell took the jury so long?

Regardless, I'm good with his being found guilty and getting a life sentence with no opportunity for parole.

And it now looks like the other two are going to fry as well.

It's become fairly obvious he is guilty and I'm glad he's not getting off the hook just because he can afford good lawyers.

They found him guilty of 1st degree murder, but also “extreme atrocity or cruelty,” but not with premeditation.
They also had the option of 2nd degree murder.

I'd wager the deliberations hinged not on his guilt or innocence, but on the degree of guilt.

So no death penalty? Also if convicted of the second murder would it be concurrent or consecutive?

Massachusetts abolished it's death penalty in the mid 80s.

His lawyer kind of ...wasnt very good, was he? Where are the Cochranes, the Kardashians (no, their dad, not THOSE Kardashians)?

When his lawyer suddenly implied Hernandez witnessed the murder but didnt do it...you knew he was screwed. You cant just make stuff up that late in the game..not to mention he not once acted like he had seen anything like that... So pathetic.

For once justice gets done because a rich guy hired the wrong lawyer. I will take it.

Good riddance, what a piece of shit and now he's off the streets.

I wish the NFL and NFLPA would use this as an example for the incoming rookies.

And nobody, anywhere, is surprised.

Except Aaron Hernandez.

When young people are shielded from the consequences of their behavior they often get distorted ideas about how life really works. He probably thought his expensive lawyers were going to take care of it and he'd out in time for training camp.

Glad he's off the streets.

True, but isn't this a federal case?

No. This current one and his other murder case are both Mass.

He has a federal lawsuit pending so prison time is irrelevant (The guy he is alleged to have shot in the face in Florida who lived). No criminal charges were ever filed in that case.
