One thing that stood out the last half of the season was Wilson's inability to scramble like he once could. Is this because teams have watched so much film on him they know his tendencies and how to stop him? I don't see Wilson as a true pocket passer, perhaps because of his height or lack thereof.
In Wilson's younger days he could outmaneuver almost anyone and run or pass his way to great plays. Not so much anymore. Are the beatings he takes week after week starting to wear his body down? As he ages, he can't keep taking hits like that and Pete and John have shown no desire to fix the O line issues over the years.
Also, Pet's insistence to let the play clock wind down to 0 EVERY sinking play kind of allows the defense to "time the clock" a little and maybe get off the ball quicker.
