My response to another media member..... Meh.

This is why I don't get mad when players give reporters the red ass.
EXACTLY! ^^
Now maybe SOME of those TOOLS can glean why Marshawn Lynch had no time for their BLATHERINGS, it's one thing not to KNOW what the hell they are talking about, it's quite another to not even SUSPECT it.

I have no problem with this. He's only saying what the rest of the nation outside of Washington state is saying. I agree with some of the stuff the players were saying this season, but a lot of it was just plain whining, and got a bit old.

Sounds like a little tongue in cheek from Wilbon, but the sentiment is correct...........enough with the nonsense. It's time to get back to work and knock off the noise that's disrupting the chemistry and causing distractions.

Whatever happened to Protect the Team?

Guess that it got trumped by letting the players be themselves.

Chicken and the egg though.

Guys like Lynch, Sherman, Bennett are fodder for the media.

You saw how Kaepernick was treated by the media when his attitude wasn't so great, despite not being boastful or whatever?

Look at it this way.....this was a more politically correct version of Drew Magary's "why your team sucks".

He's right. They need to shut up. You only get to run your mouth when you are the best. They aren't the best anymore and they look like little babies now. Shut up and focus on making the most of the few productive years you have left.

I don't believe we are just another run-of-the-mill team, but I do believe the players need to just shut up.

when will Wilbon ever shut his trap about the 85 bears. guy is complaining about seattle when his team hasn't won in over 30 years. at least seattle is still relevant unlike the bears this year who I forget are even in the league.

Actually I think the media and fans need to shut up. I see far more whining from them than anyone on our team. Last I checked we had a 53 man roster, and we have literally 3 people that have said anything on the national stage this year.

I also think it's pathetic that fans are not supporting this team. In 2009 I would have KILLED for the year that we just had. Remember 2011 and how exhilarating it was to win a playoff game even with a crappy 7-9 team? I had so much fun that year despite the thrashing in Chicago the week after.

This year was frustrating to everyone, because of the high expectations of this team. But it's a complete joke to expect to go to the superbowl every year. We are TWO YEARS removed from back to back superbowls and we are whining like we are the Browns. We have won a playoff game the last two years, this year despite star players (including our QB) being ravaged by injuries.

Also the rest of the world can remember the Seahawks for the infamous interception, but I remember the CHAMPIONSHIP that this team and these coaches brought to our franchise. I will never forget the amazing feeling I had from Sherman's tip to win against the hated niners and the subsequent drumming of the "best offense ever" in the Broncos. If that's all we ever get, then I lived to see the Seahawks win in extraordinary fashion, and not every team's fan can say that.

Do I want more? Of course, but I never want to turn into my coworker who was literally bitching because Green Bay didn't win against the Cowboys "by enough". At that point, why are you even watching if you can't enjoy your success? We are a top 8 team and need to re-tool. I have faith in Schneider and Carroll to fix the few issues we have and I am looking forward to next year and ANOTHER playoff berth.

Have fun whining.
Summed up beautifully :2thumbs:

I liked how one guy claims the Legion of Boom to be "dead" with his evidence being Matt Ryan carving them up.

So....the same game where arguably their most important member was missing?

Gotta love stupid.

Isn't it time that all of these jackwads shut up?

Or better yet, people quit listening to them?

I don't know how or why people watch or listen to these ridiculous shows. What a waste of your precious life. Do something, anything but pay attention to attention whores.
This.

Before we all blow a collective gasket, it's worth remembering that it's his--and other talking heads'--job to say outrageous things to get fans talking and tuning in. Nobody buys ad time in a sensible conversation.

That said, he's also wrong, we're still division champions.

And THAT said, he's not completely wrong. It may behoove some of our guys to remember that, until we win another one, we're more famous for our Super Bowl loss than our Super Bowl win. Consistently getting knocked out of the second round of the playoffs is worth exactly nothing.

I agree, and it's just click bait.

But you just come across as a Hater when you bash personnel, coaches, the team and hell let's just throw the city in there to bash as well. It's never a good idea to bash an entire area of the country. The Seahawks are a regional team. He's bashing the entire NW.

it's not going to win you fans or popularity.

Great post, but I wanted to add,

The rest of the world remembers how we curb stomped the Bronocs.... BUT they're only going to rub the INT in our faces over and over. That's what opposing fans and media do!

Our success recently, our outspoken players, and Carroll for whatever reason generated a TON of hate for our team. Other fans and media members couldn't wait until we stumbled. They couldn't wait until they had ammo.

Well they do now, and they're coming after us like:

It's to be expected. But I'm not worried, the window ain't closed yet!

This franchise languished for over 30 years with an occasional playoff appearance. Then all of a sudden become what we are today. Were good in spite of the few flaws we have, and were not going away anytime soon, so these goons have to make themselves relevant by spouting crap that riles up hometown (and teams we have trounced) fans into...."yeah, Seattle....screw them"

Were totally in their heads and it's awesome.

No, that's what our players did to themselves.

You can't go 2-3 straight years talking crazy amounts of crap, telling anyone who'd listen that you're the greatest defense in the history of the game, calling WR's mediocre, picking fights with Skip Bayless, calling out Cris Carter to the camera, pooping footballs, etc..........then not expect everyone to THOROUGHLY enjoy your fall from grace.

There is no fall from grace. Where is it?
