If it's a high ankle sprain it's still (most likely) a season ending injury at this point. That sucks.

Yes, it's obviously still a tough injury that could keep him out for the rest of the games. However, a sprain (instead of a fracture) gives him an outside shot at playing in a championship game or a SB. Even if it doesn't happen, this is the best news you could hope to hear at this point.

Edit: also, it hasn't been diagnosed as a high ankle sprain yet nor has it been determined what grade of a sprain it is. The only thing they've ruled out is a fracture.

Luke Willson has crutches but is able to walk around in the locker room without them. May not be too serious. Will know more tomorrow.

Todd Heap, or Randy McMichael would be nice! What a BIG WR FA as a TE?

In my highly qualified medical opinion, Superb Owl would be the best case for him to be back even if it's minor. The list of TEs above isn't THAT bad, but I think they call up Heflet.

Who's this Evan Moore guy? He sounds promising. :sarcasm_on:

That's good news glad he didn't break it not just for now but for his long term ability to play at a high level.

Yea but if the Ahole refs would have let the previous down play through on the Rams offside, that amazing one handed catch would have counted and this would not have happened!!!O well

Hopefully we can see a return of Luke Willson with our playoff bye week.

If not, wonder how well Cooper Helfet on the practice squad can do. He seemed to do alright in the preseason...

How long was B Wag out with his? He seemed to come back early IIRC.

B Wag wasn't out very long with his? Anyone remember off hand?

Wags only missed one week, but then kind of played like crap for a couple of weeks while playing through it. And most just stay out longer. I definitely don't expect to see us have Willson in two weeks.

From Midwest in another thread... Thx

They only have XRay at the field IIRC. I'm sure they'll get an MRI tomorrow and we'll know more then.

Given how seldom we target our tight ends, I don't see how it matters much.

We don't have too many receivers, even if one of them go down, we will need to work with the TE's. Depending on who we play, TE's would be a good option to have if our WRs are not able to get separation.

Tweet from @ProFootballDoc: "Luke Wilson TE @Seahawks appears to fracture left ankle. Air splint used. Likely will need surgery for broken fibula and ankle widening." Season ending, hope for the best next season.
Damn.

first off, I don't think we will bring in a tight end, we STILL have cooper Helflet on the practice squad, and I think he is alright.
heheheh
