The team has had a difficult preseason with mostly backup level OLine injuries, the interior OLine has been pretty much shaken up with injuries.

LT- 76- Duane Brown, 74- George Fant,

LG- 70- Mike Iupati, 60- Phil Haynes (PUP), 77- Ethan Pocic, 72- Jordan Roos (F), 67 - Landon Turner,

OC- 68- Justin Britt, 53- Joey Hunt,

RG- 78- DJ Fluker, 66- Jordan Simmons, 62- Marcus Martin,

RT- 65- Germain Ifedi, 73- Jamarco Jones, 75- Elijah Nkansah, 79- Brian Wallace, 61- Will Holden,

OT- George Fant, high ankle sprain, caused a valuable loss of practice time, may be back for regular season
OG- Phil Haynes, sports hernia surgery and recovery, missed all of TC on PUP, will miss at least 6 games in regular season
OG- Mike Iupati, calf pull strain orslight tear, causing missed time and potentially may result in lost regualr season time.
OC- Joey Hunt, high ankle sprain, will miss regular season games.
OG- Jordan Simmons, apparently a high ankle sprain, will miss more than month of regular season.
OT- Jamarco Jones, recovering from last season's ACL has missed most of camp, is behind.

Fortunately it's just back up depth that is struggling but this puts the team in a difficult position rosterwise at cuts. Form this it's likely that Pocic is sure thing keeper, and some tough roster decisions are going to be forced upon the team. with the exception of Iupati the starters group looks to be in good shape but the wheels are wobbly after that, the lack of healthy depth is concerning. This situation will continue for sometime into the regular season

I can see several players who have at times looked adequate to acceptable being waived injured or even IR'd. The new guys recently added seem to be mostly camp bodies or potential PS candidates.

This could be a very difficult season for injuries . Even the injuries that aren't serious but linger and hinder a players performance . The OL seems to always be a project in progress anyway.

Jones has a groin/hip flexor issue.

It wouldn't surprise me if Marcus Martin is retained for a few weeks at least. He can play 5 positions and may be the only healthy backup for a while.

Thanks for posting a summary of injuries to the offensive line in one convenient place. :2thumbs: All the reported injuries are a bit unsettling. We may be on the threshold of witnessing a week to week forced rotation necessitating Solari magic. Possibly a slow start before it all comes together. But who cares ........ as long as they finish strong.

The Seahawks certainly aren't alone with offensive line issues ........... [tweet]https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/1167166771461271558[/tweet][tweet]https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/1167104019308974083[/tweet]

........................... looking forward to seeing this week's combinations.

Thanks Seafan, I was not aware of the hip flexor problem and thought Jones' situation was related to his ACL tear of last season.
