The indifference to and ignorance about organizational structure within this thread is appalling. Likewise the laziness. Shallow posts whose authors are unable to lift a finger to do a simple search.

Practitioners that resort to making things up as they go instead of working for understanding. Organization charting, chain of command, lines of authority and responsibility are excluted from consideration. Instead this is a place content with ignorance and resulting accussations and speculation.

Dave Pearson has much better things to do than visit a forum mob that spends so much of it's time reveling in throwing stones at others.

The Seattle Seahawks, a subsidiarity of Vulcan, is in good shape.

This is all just a word salad that's not addressing why these threads are created..........because fans want a coaching change.

No one thinks the Hawk's organization isn't financially stable, or the internal operations aren't run well. This is about a very large segment of the fans and media wanting a new coach.

And how do you get a new coach? Your owner fires the old one. The end.

What information would you like us to gather before deciding a coaching change is needed, other than what we're seeing on the field?

Which is a team that just had the biggest two consecutive drafts in franchise history............yet are still not improving, and in fact regressed this year with all the same schematic and roster issues the head coach and his assistants can't seem to figure out how to improve.

Not everyone is blind to scheme and roster and coaching changes.

I am just a Bears/Seahawks fan who staggered in here last year, so please excuse my ignorance. What do you know about this Chuck Arnold guy? Does he exercise any real authority? The name doesn’t come up in these discussions. The Bears had a president Ted Phillips who wasn’t much of a football whiz. Thankfully, he’s finally gone. Is Arnold one like that?

Teach us more. Inundate us with your vast knowledge. The bureaucracy you describe at the top of the Seahawk pyramid sounds like no one is in charge. Not good for a football team.

I want someone to be in charge who can look at the sad state of the franchise from a performance perspective, see it for what it is, and make the necessary changes in an attempt to get us out of this rut.

I agree with the expressed thought that I don't think there's a chance in hell this team, coaching staff, and front office looks at all the same as it does now had Paul Allen lived on and healthy.

Kolde is another name I didn’t know. Theoretically, any change at the GM or HC would involve Jody, Arnold, Kolde. It is not clear how this would work in practice. Maybe the plan is to sell the team and allow the new owner to hire his own management team. In that case, JS and Pete will be running the team until it is sold. That would be sad news for some folks here.

OMG, the condescension is thick here. The results are in plain site whenever a Seahawks game is watched. Who gives a crap about "organizational charting and chain of command". The product sucks and that falls in the lap of the Owner. Not much digging needed to see the complacency of whoever is in charge...And Carroll continues to talk like he'll be back next year, which screams that the present Ownership seems content with the direction of this mess of a team.

Well considering how many coaches have been poached and how the game sets new rules to slap down teams with success that are not in the big markets it takes time to adapt and find a innovative way to succeed week in and week out.

Pete is an innovator, his game day decisions have all of us scratching our head, but roster and scheme he has been pretty solid. They are attempting to create a new defense and it has sucked up until now. I don't have the answer granted but if it was me I would be more aggressive up front and let the DB's attack and play more man.

Growing pains from youth also add to it, we have seen this before seemingly suckage only to have a light bulb turn on for a couple players and boom shut down defense. I also think the whole incorporation of Adams created issues, we looked good without him, forcing the situation to include him created imbalance and confusion if you aske me.
