As if there were any remaining doubt ... I'd say that Pete Carroll's comments there are pretty much the nail in the coffin. Though he likes guys who can make plays, Carroll is also all about protecting the football and being wise. Those are qualities that I just don't see in Boykin right now and obviously Carroll doesn't either.
After finishing watching the last preseason game, have to agree. Davis protected the ball while making the big plays. He did make some minor errors, but nothing that cant be fixed. He has still got room for improvement but we can teach him those things to make him better.
Boykin tried too hard to make things happen that were not there. That is not playing to the skillset. I am not talking about Boykins, the teams. You have to be able to adapt to your WRs that are there as much as they adapt to you. So I see him as gone or relegated to the PS..if he can get there. He was our backup all last year...so dont know if he is eligible.
