Roster cut announcements have begun

We get the 7th rounder we gave up yesterday. Seems like low compensation.

Basically we traded Marsh for Justin Coleman 1 day apart.

So...did we get their 7th rounder...or Our 7th rounder back??? I would mean sumthin since we will be picking last next year..or that year.... :stirthepot:

And since it was swapped with the Jets it will be an early 7th.

nm... forgot they also have the Eagles 7th rounder. Either way they have it back whichever it was they traded to NE in the first place

Biggest cut disappointment to me so far today is Rubin.

We have nothing left like him as a run-stopper, including SR who the FO may be making too big of a ripple-wave out of when considering also the Marsh trade.

Am nervous about experienced and non-fragile depth also at WR and RB, with the trade of Kearse and the cut of AC. ADB and EL aren't immune to injury either, everyone is human.

Sheldon is better against the run than Rubin. Naz also looked nice against the run. Tuba was declining, over 30 and overpriced for zero pass rush ability.

Marsh did borderline nothing for this team. He was classic 'just a guy' on the roster. Might miss him on ST, but unlikely.

dropping Kearse and AC should put you at ease. Better football players got their spots, that simple.

IMHO biggest disappointment in cuts is Desir. Hopefully he'll sneak thru to the practice squad.
Would rather have Desir than Jeremy "Almost made the play" Lane.

He didn't do a lot of diverse work, though. Spectacular catches on 50/50 sideline throws are fun to watch, but they comprise about 20% of a WR's job, and unfortunately it's a 20% that all our other receivers can do as well.
