I know, Mikeak; and it's something that varies wildly depending on the situation. It's not irrelevant, though. Look at the NFL. If guys hit each other that hard without helmets, we'd see players die each year. Maybe even each week.

I used to fly for a living and every time some outfit tried to cheat the system and killed themselves or passengers, FAA would pile on ridiculous regulations that only increased the cost of business and confused the situation. Most of the feds I worked with were former Air Force and they couldn't understand why a small air taxi didn't have 5 mechanics and 10 paper work shufflers per pilot.
