It's no secret I can't stand the Rams or McVay. But.......there is ZERO CHANCE that a team coached by him would do anything BUT play to win, every week.
McVay is a vain man. He hates losing because of this, and it's a powerful driving force. He was willing to give his QB 17 rushing attempts to win a meaningless game so he can look good. He kicks field goals to cover spreads with 4 seconds left on the clock while trailing by 10 points. And on the sidelines, yikes... "Look at me, I work out a lot! I have great grooming!".

Well, I did "BOOK IT" & bet my net worth with an offshore casino & they were not going to pay me until I showed them this thread by @Fade & how they really did INTEND to tank but it was actually Pete Carrolls' fault it didn't happen & they knew they didn't have a leg to stand on if it went to court & reversed their decision & paid ne out.

Thanks you Fade for the tremendous insight.

The Rams finally got around to tanking by losing to Detroit by one point.
McVay is such a f**n procrastinator!
Rams were good enough to beat any NFC playoff team on the right day, including SF, but, alas, the Lions were just a little better on this day.
The actual difference: Aidan Hutchinson. Caused just enough problems for the Rams in crucial moments. Goff and Stafford pretty much a draw, slight edge to Stafford maybe.
Actual difference #2: Ben Johnson and Detroit OL and game plan/scheme to keep Aaron Donald from blowing up the game.

Real difference #1: The refs swallowed their whistles on that last PI on Puka Nacua by Detroit. Sort of a fitting outcome after the Rams/Saints fiasco a few years back. Otherwise, LAR are lining up for the GW FG.

Nah, Rams O Lineman were getting away with a lot of holds and false starts. Refs let them play for once. Imagine that.

He's the same age as me, so, it was one of those passing moments in life when he got the job.
