Looks like it's a pretty simple formula; merit here is quantified as just the number of plays. Every team gets a bonus pool and players get a share depending on their % max plays/2022 compensation ratio. So everybody gets a little but most of it goes to players like Jackson and Woolen who played a lot of snaps on low contracts.
