I can's recall a grouping of Seattle free agents that I have been more excited about.

Even if some of them don't make the cut to 53, looks like our practice squad is in
for a major overhaul. Tre Madden will compete really well with the drafted RB's.

I'd be shocked if we get Vernon Adams. If we wanted him we needed to draft him. He thinks he was the 2nd best qb in the draft. He's going to look for a spot where he can compete to start sooner than later. That's not Seattle.

Has the shock worn off yet?

I'll be shocked if Adams isn't signed after the Rookie Minicamp. I watched him all 3 years at EWU, the kid has heart, is just as dynamic as Wilson in the pocket, and throws a sexy deep ball. He's the perfect backup for Wilson. I have my doubts about him ever being a starter solely based upon his build; he's not stout like Wilson is. Also, while he may be a little cocky, he doesn't have decision-making or character concerns like Boykin.

Compete.

There have been several fringe players at the end of the roster and the past couple seasons the Hawks have needed to bring in other teams leftovers. I see the team getting younger with an infusion of talented youth.

This should put some hungry athletes on the special teams.

Compete, compete, compete.

The Hawks' reputation for giving UDFA a fighting chance has really paid off.

Looking forward to seeing a hungry, fast, strong, tough football team getting back to playing Seahawk football.

Did the Hawks get stiffed by OS's S- Tyvis Powell, other sites say he actually signed with Houston and not Seattle?

Was listening to JS on 710 a bit ago and he said that the reason some of these guys are tryouts is not because deals weren't offered but because guys just got back to them so fast this year. By the time some guys called back, there weren't any spots left.

There were Houston rumors. This guy is a OSU beat writer and profile seems legit.

With how fast UDFAs were rushing to sign with the Seahawks and how Germain and Reed both wanted to be drafted by Seattle, this is the most I've ever seen players wanting to be drafted/come here as a destination. Pete and crew have truly built a winning family culture here. It's also a great feeling when other teams are picking up the guys we let go.

I absolutely LOVE Vernon Adams and believe that he has a couple of similarities to Russell Wilson.

One is that he will buy time, keep his eyes deep downfield, the launch a "sexy deep ball" accurately for a huge completion.

The guy is a winner, hands down. And if anyone will give him a legitimate shot, it's Pete Carroll.
