THIS is probably why.

Eye opening for sure.

Not sure why so many men blame their infidelities on porn. I mean, take accountability for your own actions. I love porn as much as the next guy. I even watch porn with my wife. But to watch porn and go have sex with women outside the marriage, and then say it was because you were addicted to porn? C'mon.

They didn't know that before he left for Tampa?
Seahawks staff have probably known for years now. The book Canales published has been out since '22, and Russell Wilson wrote a blurb about it.

I wouldn't think that was the primary reason. As a landlord, I prefer people who's imperfections I know, and that they've disclosed them and how they've overcome them, over people who present as if they were perfect with no flaws.

I think it's more likely the Seahawks were focused on other primary choice candidates, and didn't want to waste Canales's or their time with a job he probably wasn't going to get. Wouldn't surprise me if JS called Canales and told him they weren't going to interview him but wished him luck and said the Seahawks would be happy to serve as a reference and it would be glowing.

But, Hey, it's all guesswork at this point. If JS was ever asked this at a presser, I'd love to hear that answer. Though it would probably be a GM-speak answer, "we had some other candidates we very were interested in, but knew we'd have to wait, and we knew other teams were very interested in Dave, and felt sure he'd be snapped up before we were making our decision."

I think Seattle knew Canales enough already not to interview him.

He’s been a coach with Seattle.

Schneider, knows him very well I’m sure…no need to cross that bridge.

It’s kind of like revisiting the idea of dating an ex again. You already know who they are, do you want to date them again, just to “re-learn” about why they are your ex again??

No point…
