Both John and Mike have said the OL is a work in progress, will/should QB mobility be a deciding factor in who the Seahawks QB is in 2024?

Howell is a little more mobile, at least in that he looks more natural running, but Geno moves well enough where that shouldn't be the deciding factor. Geno avoids the rush better anyway, and not just a little better.

At their combines, Geno was a 4.56 sec guy, but that was ten years ago. Geno had the same straight line speed as Russell Wilson's 4.55 sec. Howell was 5.07 sec, almost Tom Brady territory.

AT this stage of Geno's career, he isn't into risking his body by running for tough yards, with K9, he shouldn't have too.

Running/Mobile quarterbacks are exciting to watch but if you have a poor offensive line than IMO what you want to see is a QB that can make quick reads/decisions and receivers that either get quick separation or who can win contested catches. Combine that with our 1-2 punch at RB and I think Geno is the best option right now. This will be a new offense for all the quarterbacks so we need to see who prepares best for it and Geno has shown previously to be a worker when it comes to preparing.

With all that said, I’d like to see them get some talent for the interior OL sooner rather than later. That area is our only huge weakness on offense (coaching is a wait and see).

Damn.,, I didn’t know Geno had that kind of speed.

Hiring a QB that can ' scramble ' , to make up for weaknesses in your offense and the OL in particular , is short lived wishful thinking . imo

Well be sure to tell that to JS, because that's how he builds the roster for the Seahawks. Get a mobile QB, good playmakers, and he skimps on the interior offensive line.

Howell didn't run at combine or pro day. Just watching his highlights, he would be in no way that slow anyway.

Should be "with their concubines, Geno was a 4.56 sec guy, Russel was 4.55 sec and Sam was 5.07"

I want JS to give Howell an opportunity to start a few games this year. Lets see what he can do with the talent at the skill positions on offense. We all know Geno is not the starter after 2024, so lets see what Howell can do in the kitchen with the same ingredients that Geno is working with this year.

The moment we treat real games like exhibition games is the moment we need to purge the entire organization from top to bottom and start over.
