Seahawks training camp: Jake Heaps on Jamal Adams interception of Russell Wilson, impact on practice

OK, OK, but tell us about the interception (warning: heavy X’s and O’s talk incoming).

“They used him in kind of a buzz alignment, meaning that he wasn’t jumping to the flat but was sitting in the hook to curl and he read it perfectly,” Heaps said of Adams’ pick. “Russell tried to throw it over the top of him and he made an athletic play to go up and high-point the ball.

“My favorite part was he didn’t just intercept it and make the catch really smoothly, he took it to the house. He ran it from one sideline to the other.”

TOM, JAKE AND STACY

After watching the first padded practice for the Seahawks, Jake provides some takeaways from what he saw. How did Russell Wilson look? Does LJ Collier look more explosive then he did last season, like Pete Carroll keeps indicating?

Then, Tom, Jake and Stacy go through some NFL Headlines, including some big injuries across the league on the first day of padded practices.

We discuss the state of the Seahawks pass rush to Sum it Up.

Then, Tom, Jake and Stacy get into 4 Down Territory. Should the Seahawks sign Shaquill Griffin long term after the 2020 season?

Then in The Timeline, a Philly sports radio host says he could hit a home run off a major league pitcher. which professional sports feat could you pull off?

Adams will be the best signing since ET and Bam Bam hand's down. Difference maker. You can just see it.

I predict that by the next draft, nobody here will care about what was given for him in the trade.

Yep, nor should they. This guy is a game changing player. He's going to make a lot of Hawks fans proud he's here. It changes the entire defense imo. Dwelling on what it cost doesn't change the fact that this guy is the best Safety in the league.
