Not really that surprising. Contract talks can take awhile and that may be what they expected. No need to talk the trade until the contract is agreed to. Now that it has been agreed to, it comes down to the two GM's hashing out the trade. I'm sure our front office has been focused on our upcoming draft and assumed the Raiders were as well. All this means is there is now an option to get a pick this year instead of a pick next year, which is fine by me, although my preference would be a conditional pick next year as that increases the odds of it being slightly higher

Florio is the absolute worst. His sources are all on twitter. He either waits until Schefter or someone breaks a story or he creates it himself and posts some sort of retraction later. But like you said, most of his garbage isn't even news, it's just a bunch of bs hypotheticals.

I think some are underestimating just how much the raiders want/need lynch. Not saying that will result in a higher draft pick, but this will be a legitimate trade. Hawks hold the power here.
