Say what you want but we absolutely nailed this draft. John is on a ******* heater

Zabel: Day one starter at guard. Aggressive and finishes blocks. A

Ewamurri: What a steal here. Absolute beast. Slots right in opposite Love and can move around. A+

Arroyo: Lots of mixed opinions here but he is going to be GREAT in this scheme. Stretches the field with great hands. A-

Milroe: Another divisive pick. Immediately steps in as a Taysom Hill type with a ceiling of Lamar Jackson. I LOVE it at 92. A+

Mills: GREAT pick here. Dinged for injury but apparently will be ready for camp. Zach Allen comp. A-

Horton: Another great pick. Again dinged for injury but if healthy, he's the immediate WR3 and a great compliment to JSN and Coop. A

Ouzts: Well, we got our FB! Brady Russell on the outs? B

Cabeldue: Another GREAT late round pick. Athletic mauler that projects as a guard. Will challenge Haynes. A

Martinez: Just keeps getting better. Fantastic pick. Dude is a hammer. 71% of his yards came after contact. A

A/A+ overall. Just an incredible draft by John and Mike. I am so stoked for this team and this BETTER fill the seats with 12s again. Idk how you don't come away from this draft elated.

Being a guy that knows nothing about college football, I appreciate your pick analysis. They probably wont all pan out, I like the positive attitude

Nice to have draft pics as opposed to trading them away, hope its a trend, this is how u build a stable team.Seen too many drafts where we did far too much watching.

This has been a masterclass.

  • You have upside in every single draft pick. Except Ouzts.
  • You have explosion in every single draft pick. Except Ouzts.
  • You have production in every single draft pick. Except Ouzts.
  • Good character dudes that love ball.
People are going to love Ouzts and he might even became a captain of the team.

Zero complaints with these picks. I like later round guys who would have went earlier but have a ding on their resume.

My only question is could Milroe been had later in the draft?

It certainly looks like they tried to fill obvious holes, while bringing in some interesting guys to contribute in many ways.

You never know
But his athleticism I'm sure was intriguing to other teams as well
Considering he was floated as a sleeper late first round in a few mocks, I am ok with them taking the risk and nabbing him when they did

I choose to be optimistic for what I believe are some sound reasons. It would be nice to get some starters and rotational players out of this draft, maybe a couple of eventual Pro-Bowlers. But we just won't know until it happens.

Indifferent about the draft. I like the first 3 picks and the fact that we have a FB in the equation.

But i dont see a bonafide wr1 on this team. I think folks are overvaluing JSNs numbers last year MAYBE not accounting for the fact that he was the default schemed 'goto' by virtue of the way Grubb used DK and Tyler as tools to free up space. I dont see him touching those number this year.

Maybe MVS is a no1 who has just been hiding that ability his whole career, but again, he seems like a stretch the field wr2-3.

I LOVE Kupp, but at this stage of his career, i dont think he is the no1 either.

Horton looks like a gangly, slower version of DK who like him, also has a highlight real full of rounded off routes. Maybe they can use him to stretch the field, but he doenst scream WR1. More like WR3 with upside.

So overall, i see a lot of nice possession types but no one to force a defense to account for.

So i look back at the LOB days and you can make the argument that we didnt have a bonafide 1 then either, but thats a bit blurry given we didnt have a real NFL passing offense AND ADB could have been a 1 elsewhere in a Julian Edelman role.

Fingers crossed, but worried about the fact that it feels like at RB, O line and WR we are again 1 injury away from being in trouble with an OC that has yet to show he has thr ability to elevate the players he has above their player grades. In fact, what he showed last year was that if everybody wasnt on the field, things fell apart really fast.

We got 2 picks left as I write this, if we can come out with Nazir Stackhouse & either Cobee Bryant or Mello Dotson, this will by far, be my favorite draft in the last 10 years.
