No, they did say they would use him in packages but the overall plan was for him to be developed as a QB long term. I am going off memory so thats definitely not verbatim.

It's extremely rare to see a draft where every pick is great. It's just not realistic. This draft wasn't perfect, but without a doubt one the best JS has ever had.
