I didn't think the game was rigged. Philly got away with defensive holding earlier in the game. It seemed like Philly's guards weren't set on several snaps.
But I was very disappointed with the call at that moment given how minor it looked. I had no rooting interest and was enjoying this game a great deal. I would have loved to see Philly have a chance to tie or win it on a last minute drive.

So much movement on the line for both teams w/out calls. It's too bad that this penalty will get more attention than an incredible super bowl. From many at least.
Again, it was ticky tack. But not the reason KC won, just my opinion. Philly had several chances to pull away.

We also shouldn't forget the Fumble and TD that was called back. That clearly was a fumble, not an incomplete pass.
In college it’s a fumble. The nfl changes game to game what a catch is.

So...at this point in time, is it too soon to ask this question again?

It was only an incredible Super Bowl if you don't care about defense. The only defensive play that was any where close to impressive was erased because the NFL and apparently too many "fans" of football want arena league scores. The product is barely watchable now. May give up on it until they rebalance the rules to where defenses aren't neutured.

I agree that everything favors offense now. Like I said before, I don't think it's a coincidence that teams with head coaches rooted in offense are playing in all these SBs as of late. It would be nice if it started swinging the other way again, but I don't see it happening.

Going into the game, I thought that the Philly pass rush would be the difference maker. The Philly pass rush never showed up. Kudos to the KC O-Line.

i was actually enjoying this superbowl. i was amazed the refs were letting them play. Then that penalty and everyone was like "WHAT" i was hoping to have a 90 second thriller. Didn't care who won.
“Let’em play”
That’s my entire issue here.

They did “let’em play”until they didn’t.

It’s the inconsistency that is suspect for me.

Maybe it’s just human nature to be hyper focused at the end of a big game?

IDK but IMO it sure has tarnished my opinion over the last several years.

Legit call. The DB even admitted to it. Even so, the Eagles had plenty of opportunity to stop the Chiefs, so that's on them.

Eagles head coach was spot on, "It never comes down to a single play."

Even if they hadn't called that penalty, it's likely the Chiefs still would have scored.

You can't blame the eagles loss on the Referees. It was no doubt the Chiefs Offense that won that game.

No doubt, zero sacks for Philly. I doubt anyone saw that coming. Very impressive work by that KC O Line

Exactly. It's not like KC wasn't going to get the FG. The defense gave up 24 points in 4 straight drives.

Damn, it almost pains me to agree with Spin Doctor, but when your right, your right..! Good call..
...and wouldn't it have been something to have two fumble recoveries for TDs in the SB..! Extremely rare in any game, but in the Big Dance..?

Philly's D didn't show up, just a craptastic defensive gameplan on their part. Having said that, I thought the call was ticky tack. Ever since Superbowl XL that's been a recurring theme I've noticed.

I don't recall either QB touched or even close to being touched the entire game. Mahomes owie before half he was a runner...

i like how the refs used The Force to push the ball out of Hurt's hand when he was running. FITLHY cheaters.

I agree the call at the end of the game was ticky-tacky and I'm pretty pissed that's how the game comes to a close but if you think the nfl is 'rigged', you're a dumb dumb. The NFL isn't rigged, they just have bad officials.

Didn't show up, or showed up and faced a superior team, the likes of which they haven't seen all season?

When in Rome?

Let's take away the cheating and pretend players and the games are legit. We have cameras all over the field, let's say an AI was developed to replace the refs. There are some players that would get flagged on every play because cheating is a huge part of their game. Knowing when and what you can get away with is actually more important than skill. You know they practice and perfect it. As Seahawks fans we (of all football fans) should understand this. Good guys don't win in the NFL, 2005 proved that.

I don't think we would have ever won a super bowl without the street talents of the LOB. Sherman used to yank jerseys

The real problem has been going on for a long time in the NFL, some people call it letting them play the game but it's just an excuse. Just like in real life if you make rules but don't enforce them (or bend them) then people will break the rules. If one team does it then every team has to in order to compete.
