I think it is fair to call this a close contest right now.

The Patriots are mentally tougher than the Broncos were last season and we're not going to win just because we show up and play physical football. They've faced adversity this season just like we have.

Additionally, you have to go all the way back to our November 9th outing against the Giants to find a game in which our offense did not sputter for at least one or two quarters. It hasn't hurt us because of how well our defense is playing but this game will be tough to win if it is one of those instances where the offense takes multiple quarters off.

Finally, I think there is a reasonable chance with our injury situation and lack of depth that Blount could get going and keep the Patriots offense on the field. I'm not worried about giving up explosive plays as much as I am getting off the field if we let them have manageable third downs.

F that. Gonna be a contest...to a point. Then the Hawks turn it on.

If we play 4 qtrs its gonna be like SBXLVIII.
if we don't play 3 qts its gonna be like 2014-2015 NFCCG.
If we play 2 qtrs its gonna be like 2013-2014 NFCCG.
If we don't play 1 qtr its gonna be like 2004-2005 SBXL.

We got this.

Go Hawks!

I'm very confident, but still believe that this will be a close one, and possibly one of the better Superb Owl's in recent history.

Cautiously Optimistic, did we even play against Gronk in 2012? Also I am very worried about Earl's situation but much less so concerning Sherman, and Britt better be a go because his replacement (Pierre) wasn't the answer in NFCCG.

Currently I like...

I am currently watching the AFC C GAME and seeing some interesting gaming going on. My attitude is changing gradually.

Cautiously optimistic.

This game is a coin-flip; can't decide how it's going to go, unlike last year, when I thought it was in the bag at kickoff.

These guys haven't given me a reason to doubt them all year long, so I'm not going to doubt them now. Somehow, someway, we'll find a way to win, although the opposite could also be true :D

I have not been this sure about a game since we played the Giants.
Wow. That is good news.

I am concerned about our ability to stop their run game up the middle as both Carolina and GB had success in that area. We miss Mebane and Hill. I like the LOB matchup against their WRs and while Gronk will get a couple of catches I don't think he hurts us badly. I believe they'll really key on Lynch like the Donkeys did last year and he doesn't go off. Really it's the only strategy to use against the Hawks that gives a team a chance to win. I believe that Russ will find a way to get it done. I think it's close but Hawks win.

Seahawks win 31-20.

As far as temperature goes, I hope it doesn't change so much that the Patriots balls deflate all on their own.
